For my part, I started exploring my surrounding and could see worms everywhere.

I also dug through my compost and found what looks like a honeycomb and probably found the first nematode which was isolated in the beautiful city of Weimar. The next mission is to actually go and find some iceworms and observe a phase transition in realtime. These awesome critters only survive ontop of glacier ice and dissolve when heated above a couple of degrees celsius. I wonder how their proteins must be designed to be functional at 0C. How do the proteins interact at `room’ temperature, at which they turn liquid? What can we learn about biology in general?
