Neus is a Catalan biologist born in Barcelona. She loves the study of life and her main interests are Molecular Biology, Genetics and Microbiology. Neus did her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with minor in Molecular, Cell and Systems Biology. After that she did her Master’s Degree in Advanced Microbiology and her final’s project was developed at Bacterial infections: antimicrobial therapies group of the Institute of Bioengineering of Catalonia, in Barcelona.
During her studies, Neus did an internship at ICFO as laboratory technician in the BiologyLab, where she expanded her knowledges about molecular biology, which is a field she likes a lot. However, she is very interested in learning about other branches of biology.
Neus’ tasks at the Neurophotonics and Mechanical Systems Biology group are basically to give support to other researchers in their projects regarding Caenorhabditis elegans model and molecular biology techniques.
When not in the lab, you may find Neus snorkelling or trying to plan her next travel!
